Već na samom startu svoje prve takmičarske sezone igračice Gradskog ženskog fudbalskog kluba Borac najavljuju da će imati značajnu ulogu u Drugoj ženskoj ligi Zapad, koja startuje 26. i 27. septembra.
Naime, devojke iz Čačka su prve zvanične nastupe već imale u okviru Kupa na nivou FSR Zapadne Srbije, gde su stigle do finala. Ekipa Borca je juče (četvrtak, 17. septembar) u polufinalu zabeležila fantastičan uspeh, savladavši u Topoli domaći Karađorđe nakon boljeg izvođenja penala, u regularnom toku rezultat je glasio 1:1.
Uspeh je tim veći kada se zna da Karađorđe desetak godina unazad ne zna za neuspeh na svom terenu. Domaće su povele u 18. minutu preko Mirkovićeve, da bi u 22. izjednačenje Čačankama donela Teodora Milošević. Treba napomenuti da je u finišu prvog dela igre, koji je po prikazanoj igri pripao gošćama, ekipa iz Topole propustila da povede nakon dosuđenog penala u njihovu korist. Mada su prikazale znatno bolju igru u drugih 45 minuta, igračice Karađorđa nisu uspele da stignu do toliko željene pobede, pa je prolaz u finale odlučen posle izvođenja jedanaesteraca. Odlučujući pogodak za Borac u poslednjoj seriji postigla je Zorana Đoković.

U finalu Kupa FSR Zapadne Srbije igramo protiv ekipe Kraljica Marija iz Vrnjačke Banje, verovatno na Gradskom fudbalskom stadionu u Čačku. Bez obzira kako se taj susret završi, imamo puno razloga za optimizam u nastavku sezone.”
