U organzaciji Narodnog muzeja u Čačku danas je počeo dvodnevni skup “Rimske terme 50 godina nakon otkrića: dijalog nasleđa i zajednice”. Skup je posvećen obeležavanju jubileja, 50 godina od otkrića Rimskih termi koje se nalaze u strogom centru Čačka, tj. pola veka od otkrića prvog antičkog lokaliteta u Čačku. Posle arheoloških radova 1970. godine objekat je konzerviran u periodu od 1970. do 1972. godine u organizaciji Zavoda za zaštitu spomenika kulture iz Kraljeva, prema projektu arhitekte Radoslava Prokića. Rimske terme u Čačku proglašene su za spomenik kulture pre tačno pola veka. “Ovde smo okupili, ne samo da razgovaramo o zaštiti i prezentaciji, nego i da se bavimo naučnim aspektima Rimskih kupatila i kupanja u rimskom svetu. Rimske terme pripadaju grupi vrlo specifičnih spomenika kojih u prefekturi Ilirik na širem balkanskom području ima oko 500 i koje su za jedan milenijum nadživele ta svoja mesta”, kaže dr Gordana Jeremić iz Ahreološkog instituta u Beogradu i koautor monografije o Rimskim termama. “Kupatila u Čačku pripadaju malim rimskim kupatilima koja su nastala iz antičkih kupatila i bila su središte kako kulture tako i zdravlja. Stanovnici su vodili računa o zdravlju, a uživali su i u literaturi, umetnosti i muzici“, ističe direktorka Narodnog muzeja u Čačku Delfina Rajić. Prvog dana skupa referate izlažu stručnjaci koji se na direkatan ili indirektan način bave arheološkim kulturnim nasleđem. Posebno se stavlja akcenat na razvoj arheološkog lokaliteta kroz održivo upravljanje i implementaciju u svakodnevni život zajednice. ” Na skupu će biti prezentovani radovi i problem sa kojima se mi susrećemo kao istraživači i prezenteri kulturne baštine “, kaže Aleksandra Gojgić viši kustos Narodnog muzeja u Čačku. “Da bi se bilo koje arheološko nasleđe prezentovalo najpre ga treba očuvati za buduće generacije kako bi se predstavilo, sačuvalo i dalje koristilo. Ja ću u svom izlaganju akcenat staviti na mogućnosti lokalnih samouprava da očuvaju nasleđe, a da ne moraju da izdvajaju više novca jer se sve to finansira iz postojećih prinadležnosti“, istiće predsednik Srpskog arheološkog društva Adam Crnobrnja . Skup se održava pod pokroviteljstvom Ministarstva kulture i informisanja Republike Srbije i uz podršku grada Čačka.
