Čuveni “Oktoberfest” otkazan je zbog pandemije koronavirusa, saopštile su lokalne bavarske vlasti. Oko šest miliona ljubitelja piva i dobre zabave svake godine se okupi u Minhenu na dvonedeljnom festivalu koji se održava pod šatorima i sa velikim drvenim stolovima. Prihod grada od “Oktoberfesta” je oko milijardu dolara.”Odlučili smo da je riizik jednostavno preveliki”, rekao je premijer Bavarske novinarima i dodao da “odluka boli”.Ove godine “Oktoberfest” je bio planiran da se održi od 19. septembra do 4. oktobra. Gradonačelnik Minhena je rekao da mu je žao što će dva miliona ljudi koji iz inostranstva dolaze na “Oktoberfest” biti razočarani. Istakao je da je to veliki udarac za Bavarce. U nekim delovima Nemačke počela su popuštanja mera koje s uvedene prošlog meseca. Međutim, veliki događaji zabranjeni su do 31. aprila.U ponedeljak je kancelarka Angela Merkel apelovala na stanovnike da budu disciplinovani da bi se izbeglo pogoršanje situacije. U Nemačkoj je do sada potvrđeno 143.457 slučajeva koronavirusa. Preminulo je nešto više od 4.500 osoba.
