Osvajači olimpijskih medalja na Igrama u Tokiju – taekvondoistkinje Milica Mandić i Tijana Bogdanović, kao i strelac Damir Mikec, doputovali su u četvrtak ujutru u Beograd. Doneli su svoje medalje i emociju podelili sa velikim brojem novinara. Milica Mandić nagovestila je kraj karijere, dok su Tijana Bogdanović i Damir Mikec, zajedno sa svojim trenerima, spremni za novi olimpijski ciklus koji će biti završen Igrama u Parizu 2024.

Osvajače olimpijskog zlata, srebra i bronze na beogradskom aerodromu dočekali su rodbina, prijatelji, predstavnici saveza i klubova uz ovacije, aplauze, balone, srpske zastave i muziku.

Dočekao ih je i ministar sporta Vanja Udovičić, kao i mnogobrojni predstavnici medija.

“Meni je sve toliko poznato i toliko strano. Ovo su mi treće Olimpijske igre, niko nikada nije osvojio zlato posle devet godina”, počela je Milica Mandić.

“Mi smo verovali i borili se za to. Emocije se još nisu slegle, ne mogu da verujem da sam ja nosilac dva olimpijska zlata.”

Njena naslednica Tijana Bogdanović dodala  je da je veoma srećna zbog bronze u Tokiju.

“Svesna jer, kada smo kretali, znali smo veličinu i značaj turnira na koji smo otišli. Srećna sam i zadovoljna zbog bronze, to je veliki uspeh i mislim da svi treba da budemo ponosni”, kazala je Tijana Bogdanović.

Ona je turnir započela porazom u prvom kolu, ali se vratila i u repesažu stigla do novog odličja.

“Naravno da mi se svet srušio kada sam izgubila prvu borbu, ali sam imala vremena da se isplačm i nastavim dalje. Srećna sam zbog ove bronze i što imam medalje sa svoja prva dva učešća na Olimpijskim igrama”, dodala je Bogdanovićeva.

Damir Mikec je u streljaštvu “probio led” i doneo prvu medalju Srbiji u Tokiju – i to srebrnu.

“Neizmerno sam srećan, ali još nisam skroz svestan. Mojim koleginicama je ovo već normalno, ali ja sam sada dobio čast da nosim ovu medalju. Mogli ste da pročitate, samo ovo mi je falilo. Počastvovan sam što sam kompletirao medalje sa svih velikih takmičenja i borilišta. Čast mi je što sam deo ovog sporta koji donosi olimpijske medalje još od Seula 1988, sa malom pauzom u Riju. Nadam se da nam to niste zamerili”, naveo je Damir.

“Sada smo na četiri medalje, mi odavde sada navijamo za njih. Bili smo blizu još jedne u miksu sa Zoranom (Arunović), to ostavlja gorak ukus. Nadam se da će me u narednim danima “puknuti u glavu” koliko je ovo veliki uspeh. Daću sve od sebe da se kvalifikujem za Pariz. Pozivam Milicu da to isto učini.”

Prvo pitanje bilo je upućeno Milici Mandić i njenoj odluci da završi karijeru nakon ovih Olimpijskih igara.

“Znala sam da će ovu temu neko da pokrene, hvala Damire. Naravno da se osećam na vrhuncu karijere, nisam očekivala da ću biti nosilac dva olimpijska zlata. Nisam spremna za novi olimpijski ciklus, tada ću imati 33-34 godine, što nije malo, posebno za ženu u sportu. Mislim da je sada pravo vreme za jednu pauzu”, odgovorila je Milica.

Svo troje saglasili su se da je olimpijski duh i druženje sa svim srpskim sportistima doneo mnogo našem timu i da je to razlog uspeha.

Mnogo im je značila podrška koju su pružali jedni drugima, dok je trener taekvondoistkinja Dragan Jović istakao da će “u Parizu osvojiti i taekvondo, streljaštvo, ali i brejk dens” koji će od 2024. biti deo olimpijskog programa.

“Svesna jer, kada smo kretali, znali smo veličinu i značaj turnira na koji smo otišli. Srećna sam i zadovoljna zbog bronze, to je veliki uspeh i mislim da svi treba da budemo ponosni”, kazala je Tijana Bogdanović.

Ona je turnir započela porazom u prvom kolu, ali se vratila i u repesažu stigla do novog odličja.

“Naravno da mi se svet srušio kada sam izgubila prvu borbu, ali sam imala vremena da se isplačm i nastavim dalje. Srećna sam zbog ove bronze i što imam medalje sa svoja prva dva učešća na Olimpijskim igrama”, dodala je Bogdanovićeva.

Damir Mikec je u streljaštvu “probio led” i doneo prvu medalju Srbiji u Tokiju – i to srebrnu.

“Neizmerno sam srećan, ali još nisam skroz svestan. Mojim koleginicama je ovo već normalno, ali ja sam sada dobio čast da nosim ovu medalju. Mogli ste da pročitate, samo ovo mi je falilo. Počastvovan sam što sam kompletirao medalje sa svih velikih takmičenja i borilišta. Čast mi je što sam deo ovog sporta koji donosi olimpijske medalje još od Seula 1988, sa malom pauzom u Riju. Nadam se da nam to niste zamerili”, naveo je Damir.

“Sada smo na četiri medalje, mi odavde sada navijamo za njih. Bili smo blizu još jedne u miksu sa Zoranom (Arunović), to ostavlja gorak ukus. Nadam se da će me u narednim danima “puknuti u glavu” koliko je ovo veliki uspeh. Daću sve od sebe da se kvalifikujem za Pariz. Pozivam Milicu da to isto učini.”

Prvo pitanje bilo je upućeno Milici Mandić i njenoj odluci da završi karijeru nakon ovih Olimpijskih igara.

“Znala sam da će ovu temu neko da pokrene, hvala Damire. Naravno da se osećam na vrhuncu karijere, nisam očekivala da ću biti nosilac dva olimpijska zlata. Nisam spremna za novi olimpijski ciklus, tada ću imati 33-34 godine, što nije malo, posebno za ženu u sportu. Mislim da je sada pravo vreme za jednu pauzu”, odgovorila je Milica.

Svo troje saglasili su se da je olimpijski duh i druženje sa svim srpskim sportistima doneo mnogo našem timu i da je to razlog uspeha.

Mnogo im je značila podrška koju su pružali jedni drugima, dok je trener taekvondoistkinja Dragan Jović istakao da će “u Parizu osvojiti i taekvondo, streljaštvo, ali i brejk dens” koji će od 2024. biti deo olimpijskog programa.
