Usled visokih temperatura povećana je potrošnja vode na seoskom , ali i na gradskom području, za oko 20 odsto. Nadležni ukazuju na racionalno korišćenje vode, jer je primećeno da pojedini građani ugrožavaju normalno snadbevanje zalivanjem zelenih površina. Za sada svi podsistemi, vodovodne mreže i sistemi normalno funkcionišu. Nadležni ukazauju da je ovo samo apel, ali ukoliko ne budu savesni biće prinuđeni da preduzimaju i restriktivne mere. ,.Podaci sa daljinskog sistema za praćenje ukazuju da je prosečno dnevno potrošeno 320 litara sekundnih 26.jula , dok je 31.jula potrošeno 480 litara, što ukazuje na neracionalnu potrošnju vode”, rekao je direktor sektora za tehničke poslove u Javnom komunalnom preduzeću Vodovod , Božidar Gavrilović. U toku dana zbog kvara na vodovodnoj mreži u ulici Ratka Parezanovića i ulici Milutina Mandića došlo je do redukovanog snadbevanja vodom. U ostalim delovima grada vodosnadbevanje je redovno. Prema prognozama u avgustu se ne očekuju veće količine padavina , iz tog razloga voda se mora racionalno koristiti.
