Izložba “Srbija u Velikom ratu 1914-1918” otvorena je sinoć u Kulturnom centru Srbije u Parizu, u prestonici Francuske.
Izložbu su organizovali Vojni arhiv i Vojni muzej Ministarstva odbrane Srbije, Istorijski arhiv Požarevac i Kulturni centar Srbije u Parizu, a realizaciju je omogućilo Ministarstvo kulture i informisanja Republike Srbije.
Obraćajući se brojnoj publici na svečanom otvaranju izložbe, direktor Vojnog arhiva kapetan bojnog broda Goran Petrović istakao je da su organizatori izložbe čuvari istorije srpske vojske i da svojim radom daju pun doprinos da se sjajne i slavne pobede srpske vojske, izvojevane u borbama za slobodu, ne zaborave.
„Malo je naroda bilo uvek na pravoj strani istorije, na strani dobra. Malo je malih naroda svojim žrtvovanjem upisano velikim slovima u svetsku istoriju. I svojim ratovodstvom, uvek odbrambenim. Zato ovom izložbom podsećamo na značajne ličnosti, odsudne bitke, velike gubitke i velike pobede”, rekao je kapetan bojnog broda Petrović.
On je naglasio da srpski vojnici, koji su na svojim plećima izneli te presudne istorijske trenutke i koji su tokom godina Prvog svetskog rata ispisivali najsvetije i najsvetlije stranice srpske vojne istorije, ne smeju biti zaboravljeni u hodnicima istorije.
„Treba imati u vidu da je Kraljevina Srbija dala potpuni doprinos ratnim naporima saveznika i ne treba da čude, zbunjuju ili zvuče preterano reči stranih svedoka srpskog stradanja koji su pisali da je u Srbiji skoro svaki Srbin vojnik”, rekao je kapetan bojnog broda Petrović, ističući da se izložbom „Srbija u Velikom ratu 1914-1918“ u Srpskom kulturnom centru u Parizu, podsećamo zajedničke istorije tokom koje su se francuski i srpski vojnici prepoznavali kao „braća po oružju“ i „braća po idealima“, a pre svega po ljubavi prema slobodi.
Na izložbi je predstavljen izbor od 280 istorijskih dokumenata i fotografija i 60 muzejskih predmeta, koji prikazuje istinitu priču o ratnim dešavanjima u Srbiji u Prvom svetskom ratu, s posebnim osvrtom na diplomatsko angažovanje i kontakte Srbije sa savezničkim silama – Francuskom, Velikom Britanijom i Rusijom. Postavka predstavlja doprinos kulturi pamćenja, sećanja i trajanja, kao gradivni materijal srpskog nacionalnog identiteta.
Otvaranju izložbe prisustvovali su predstavnici organizatora izložbe načelnik Vojnog muzeja potpukovnik Gradimir Matić, direktor Istorijskog arhiva Požarevac Jasmina Nikolić, vršilac dužnosti direktora Kulturnog centra Srbije u Parizu Marija Nestorović, načelnik štaba Kopnene vojske oružanih snaga Francuske general Bernar Barera, kao i brojne zvanice iz vojnog i diplomatskog kora.
