Ivanjica – Golija ne samo da je bogata šumama, nego i pravim prirodnim biserima jer je na njenim proplanicima skriveno nekoliko planinsikih ledničkih jezera, koji su prava prirodna oaza na preko hiljadu metara nadmorske visine. Jedno od njih je i Dajićko jezero u istoimenom selu, nema obale već ga okružuje specifična tresava koja se ugiba pod nogama.
„Jezero se puni zahvaljujući atmosferskim padavinama, kišom i otapanjnjem snega, pa njegova velilčina često zna i da varira. Ima i svoj kaptirani izvor koji se nalazi preko puta. Promena vodnog režima, ekološki uslovi i mikroklimatski parametri intezvirali su eutrofikaciju jezera, koja je uslovila nastanak specifične tresavske vegetacije. U samom jezeru je izuzetno bogata vegetacija, ali i nalaze se i retke vrste insekata. Kupanje u njemu nije dozvoljeno“, izjavio je za RINU Miloje Ostojić iz TO Ivanjica.
Prvi put u spisima spominje se u tokom istraživanja Josifa Pančića, Nedeljka Kašanina i Jovana Cvijića. Ovaj lokalitet skriven u četinarskoj šumi tokom godine obilaze brojni posetioci iz zemlje i inostranstva, a osim što je posebno po lepoti Dajićko jezero izdvaja se od ostalih i po legendama koje su vezane za njegovo postojanje.
„Legenda kaže da su putem pored jezera prolazili svatovi, a barjaktar je skrenuo sa puta i svi su upali i vodu i utopili se, po tome jezero neko naziva i svatovsko. Druga legenda kaže da je u jezeru živelo čudovište, koje su meštani ubili i u jezeru je od krvi bila crvena voda. Pozvali su sveštenika koji očiato molitvi i voda se raščistila, pa je tako obližnje selo dobilo ime Bele vode“, rekao je Miloje.
Mitovi i legende nerazdvojivi su deo folklora Golije, a jedno od narodnih predanja govori o dva pobratima Rajku i Janku, koji su se kladili ko će pre da iznese poveći kamen na vrh Golije.
„Rajko je brzo nosio svoj kamen i blizu vrha se spotakao i ispustio ga i kamen je pao u potok. Janko je polako nosio svoj kamen, ali je sigurno stigao do vrha. Otuda se vrh Golije zove Jankov kamen, a potok u koji se otkotrljao Rajkov kamen meštani nazivaju Rajkov potok“, priča Miloje.
Na predlog Republičkog zavoda za zaštitu prirode Srbije 1966. godine doneto je Rešenje o stavljanju pod zaštitu Dajićkog jezera – tresave kao prirodne retkosti i prirodnog spomenika geobotaničkog karaktera na površini od dva hektara na severozapadu Golije.
