U današnje vreme alergije na sunce su sve učestalije. Prema istraživanjima oko 20 posto svetske populacije suočava se sa ovim problemom , dok se u oko 50 odsto slučajeva alergijska reakcija prenosi genetskim nasleđem.

Alergija na sunce najčešće je  odgovor imunog sistema na sunčevo zračenje I manifestuje se u vidu osipa, peckanja, svraba. Medicinski radnici napominju da je najvažnija preventiva u vidu postepenog izlaganja od 5,10,15 minuta u zavisnosti od tipa kože dok ne dobijemo zaštitnu  boju.

Osip od sunca se  najčešće manifestuje nekoliko sati, čak I posle 12 sati od  izlaganja suncu i može potrajati nekoliko dana.  

Ne smemo zanemariti ni  blagotvorno dejstvo sunčeve svetlosti.Koža kao najveći organ štiti celokupan organizam I zato joj treba posvetiti posebnu negu ,a I u cilju  kako ne bi došlo do različitih stepena oštećenja treba biti obazriv prilikom izlaganja suncu.
