I planinari i avanturisti sa velikim nestrpljenjem žele da upoznaju lepote Ovčarsko-kablarske klisure. Ipak, ono što se ređe pominje jeste planina koja je deo ove impozantne klisure, ali onaj koji je nepravedno zapostavljen. Tek oko deset kilometara deli ovu planinu od Ovčar banje. Najviši vrh se nalazi na 856 metara nadmorske visine, te se uspon na Orovicu smatra dobrom opcijom za avanturiste, ali i planinare koji nemaju naročito mnogo iskustva. Dužina pešačke ture do vrha Velika Orovica je oko 12 kilometara. Iako se smatra praktično delom Ovčarsko-kablarskog masiva, planina Orovica se izdvaja po još neotkrivenim predelom na koji retko ko može da ostane ravnodušan. Upoznavanje ove nepravedno zapostavljene planine počinje u selu Tučkovo, koje je oko 165 kilometara udaljeno od Beograda. Pre nešto više od 80 godina, tik iznad Vrnčanske reke, uklesan je put koji danas spaja sela Tučkovo i Vrnčane. I upravo on je jedan od onih, interesantnijih načina da se stigne na vrh Velika Orovica. Postoji, naravno i drugi, koji se smatra jednostavnijim, ali za ljubitelje avanture, ovo je prava poslastica. Vis poznat pod nazivom Šest nalazi se na levoj obali Vrnčanske reke, baš nasuprot Orovice. Specifičnost ovog puta se ogleda ne samo u lepoti pejzaža, u kojima se može zaista uživati tokom uspona, već i u njegovom položaju. Naime, postoje delovi puta koji se uzdižu i nekoliko stotina metara iznad Vrnčanske reke, a postoje i oni koji idu tik uz njen tok, tako da uživanja ne manjka, bez obzira na kom delu puta se nalazili. Negde možete jednostavno uživati u pogledu na Vrnčansku reku, a negde u njenoj hladnoj vodi pored koje prolazite. Mnoštvo manjih vodenih tokova se može videti prilikom uspona, što je još jedna od zanimljivosti. Nakon što prođete prvu lokalnu prodavnicu i stignete do druge, možete brzo krenuti ovom neverovatnom stazom. Posle prelaska oko dva kilometara asfaltirane staze, počinje prava avantura. Uživanje u šumskim pejzažima, ali i nekoliko lokalnih sela, od kojih su neka gotovo napuštena, nikoga ne ostavljaju ravnodušnim. Vrlo dobro markirana staza koja vodi do najvišeg vrha ove planine dodatno olakšava uspon. Interesantno je i da da ona jednim delom vodi baš po obodu same planine, što podrazumeva da su pejzaži naročito u tim delovima, u najmanju ruku fascinantni.
