Ovih dana berba šljiva je u punom jeku, ali prinos je oko 30 odsto manji od očekivanog. Cena na otkupu je 30 do 50, a na pijacama u Beogradu oko 100 dinara. Poljoprivredni stručnjak Luka Radoja kaže da je zabluda da Srbija ima puno šljive i da će se problemi nastaviti ako se ne promeni pristup u uzgoju. Luka Radoja kaže da je ova godina nevesela za šljivu, jer je bilo hladno proleće, mrazevi, a potom i suša, zbog čega je prinos umanjen. “Nismo se od toga mogli odbraniti izuzev na mestima gde je bilo vode, a mi imamo malo vode za navodnjavanje i malo uređaja za navodnjavanje”, navodi Radoja. Ističe da se šljiva u Srbiji još uvek ne gaji plantažno, već na malim površinama i da će se problemi nastaviti ako se ne promeni pristup u uzgoju šljive. “Ministarstvo poljoprivrede je uradilo reonizaciju uzgoja vinove loze. Tako treba da uradi i za uzgoj voća. Nije svuda mesto šljivi. Imamo Institut za voćarstvo, imamo fakultet i oni će reći tačno šta sve treba znati da bi se uspešno uzgajala šljiva”, kaže Radoja. Naglašava da za sada nema ni dovoljno novca da bi se šljiva plantažno uzgajala, uz pravilan zasad, navodnjavanje i zaštitu od grada. “Moramo misliti o budućnosti. Neće biti radne snage da se šljiva bere, treba nam mehanizovani proces uzgoja šljive”, smatra Radoja. Kaže da je na loš rod ove godine najviše uticala suša, koja je naudila svemu što je posađeno. “Tamo gde nije navodnjavano prinosi su značajno manji. To ne znači da je lošiji kvalitet jer je više suve mase i šećera, što je važno”, objašnjava Radoja. “Kraljevina Srbija izvozila više šljive nego Srbija danas” Luka Radoja ističe da u Srbiji nije pravilan ni izbor sorte šljive, jer dominira “stenlej”. “Profesor iz Mičigena meni kaže da oni u Americi tu šljivu zovu bljak. Ja ga pitam odakle im ta reč, a on kaže da nije pozajmljena od nas, ali da je bljak”, priča Radoja. Navodi da se “stenlej” najviše koristi, jer je tolerantan na virus šljive koji je uništio srpsku požegaču. “Priča o ‘požegači’ se nastavlja i naši stručnjaci su objasnili kako je možemo sačuvati. Postoje načini da se sačuva. U okolini Valjeva je još ima, ali je stradala i zbog aljkavog odnosa prema njoj. Obradu zemljišta su ranije radile svinje rijući zemljište i češući se o stabla”, kaže Radoja. Ističe da neće biti dovoljno šljive ni za izvoz i da je zabluda da Srbija ima puno šljive. “Jeste da se ona najviše sadi u Srbiji, ali tek kada se pokrene izvoz, saznamo da je nemamo dovoljno. Ako je moguće, dobro je da se izvoze prerađevine”, kaže Radoja. Ističe da je Kraljevina Srbija izvozila dvostruko više šljiva nego Srbija danas, jer je bilo više šljiva i ljudi u selima koji su je brali. “Namera je da se šljiva prerađuje, ne samo u rakiju. Pre Drugog svetskog rata na produktnoj berzi u Njujorku sve suve šljive ovoga sveta ravnale su se prema kvalitetu suva šljiva ala Brčko. To je važilo za suvu šljivu ala Srbija. Danas toga malo ima”, naglašava Radoja.
