U dvorani kraj Morave priliku da ogledaju košarkašku veštinu imali su domaći Borac, kao i gost iz Crne Gore, Mornar iz Bara. Iako je naspram sebe imao preiskusnu ekipu Mihaila Pavićevića, koja godinama beleži odlične rezultate u ABA ligi, Borac je zahvaljujući sjajno odigranoj poslednjoj deonici uspeo da slavi rezutatom 93:88 (31:22; 19:30; 18:26; 25:10).

Od samog starta igrači oba tima su zaigrali veoma motivisano kako bi se pokazali u najboljem mogućem izdanju. Valja još primetiti i konstativati da je Borac bio izuzetno raspoložen da se nadmeće sa kvalitetnim protivnikom. U skladu sa rečenim, igra domaćina bila je na zavidnom nivou, pa je tokom čitave deonice imao prednost, koja je nakon trojke Miletića krajem četvrtine iznosila ohrabrujućih plus devet (31:22). Mornar je svim silama pokušavao da preokrene rezultat, ali je zahvaljujući požrtvovanosti košarkaša Borca u odbrani sprečen taj naum. Samo u jednom momentu Mornar je imao prednost, na samom početku susreta, nakon što je Jeremić pogodio za tri. Ali to je bilo sve od gostiju u prvih 10 minuta.

Čarapić je trojkom otvorio drugi kvartal i na taj način je svom timu doneo prvu dvocifrenu prednost (34:22). Mornar se iz petnih žila trudio da promeni odnos na parketu, ali ne da nije uspevao u toj težnji, već je Borac nakon poena Todorovića stekao maksimalnih +13 (44:31). Struka Mornara je na sve načine pokušavala da aktivira igrače, koji su samo na trenutke uspevali da prikažu igru kakva se očekivala od ekipe takvog renomea. Ali pred kraj dugog dela sve se iz korena promenilo, jer je tim iz Bara sa par dobrih napada smanjio deficit na minus četiri (46:42). Odmah je trener Marinović pozvao minut za savetovanje kako bi prekinuo nalet rivala i razdrmao svoj tabor. Međutim, Mornar je nastavio da igra na pravi način, pa je čak i poveo (50:52), prvi put od početka okršaja. Ako se sve viđeno uzme u obzir, može da se kaže da je tim iz Crne Gore zadovoljniji otišao na veliki odmor.

Treći deo igre započeo je sjajnim prodorom Džonsa, kojim je poravnat rezultat (52:52). Za razliku od većeg dela prvog poluvremena kada je Borac držao sve konce igre u svojim rukama, stvari su se u trećoj četvrtini promenile, pa je Mornar bio tim koji je mahom vodio, a najviše što je dosegao bilo je nakon zakucavanja Smita +11 (57:68). Naravno, klupa Borca ponovo je pozvala tajm aut. Ubrzo je Kočović pogodio za tri, nadovezao se Čarapić, pa je igra Borca delovala ipak nešto bolje. Ali taj nalet bio je kratkog maha. Ponovo je Mornar uputio novi udar, pa je posle trojke Pulena imao 12 koševa prednosti (66:78). U takvom ritmu je prohujalo pola sata košarke.

Odlučujući kvartal Borac je zaigrao na sve ili ništa. Sa par dobrih napada, a predvođen raspoloženim Todorovićem, uspeo je domaćin da prepolovi zaostatak (75:80). Ali nalet Čačana prekinuo je Jeremić pogotkom van linije 6,75. Međutim, domaćin nije nameravao da spusti nogu sa gasa, pa je posle nove trojke Todorovića ponovo poveo (84:83). Do kraja susreta vođena je prava muška borba, u kojoj je bio veštiji Borac. Tačku na pitanje pobednika stavio je Džons pola minuta pre kraja pogotkom za tri, čime je domaćin pobegao na plus sedam (93:86). Sjajno odigrana poslednja deonica donela je Borcu trijumf u veoma važnom pripremnom meču.

Naredni susret tima Marka Marinovića biće u nedelju, kada će u dvorani kraj Morave ugostiti Mega Bemaks, ekipu koju predvodi Čačanin Vladimir Jovanović (nedelja, 18 časova).

Ponovo je Mornar uputio novi udar, pa je posle trojke Pulena imao 12 koševa prednosti (66:78). U takvom ritmu je prohujalo pola sata košarke.

Odlučujući kvartal Borac je zaigrao na sve ili ništa. Sa par dobrih napada, a predvođen raspoloženim Todorovićem, uspeo je domaćin da prepolovi zaostatak (75:80). Ali nalet Čačana prekinuo je Jeremić pogotkom van linije 6,75. Međutim, domaćin nije nameravao da spusti nogu sa gasa, pa je posle nove trojke Todorovića ponovo poveo (84:83). Do kraja susreta vođena je prava muška borba, u kojoj je bio veštiji Borac. Tačku na pitanje pobednika stavio je Džons pola minuta pre kraja pogotkom za tri, čime je domaćin pobegao na plus sedam (93:86). Sjajno odigrana poslednja deonica donela je Borcu trijumf u veoma važnom pripremnom meču.

Naredni susret tima Marka Marinovića biće u nedelju, kada će u dvorani kraj Morave ugostiti Mega Bemaks, ekipu koju predvodi Čačanin Vladimir Jovanović (nedelja, 18 časova).
