Dan otvorenih vrata u Užičkoj gimnaziji održan je pod sloganom “Znanje je moć“, sa željom da se budućim srednjoškolcima što više približi školovanje u ovoj najstarijoj prosvetnoj ustanovi u užičkom kraju. Maturanti su bili najbolji promoteri aktivnosti i rada škole, a osmaci su na taj način saznali mnogo više o Užičkoj gimnaziji i smerovima koji ih zanimaju.

Upis u srednje škole može biti veoma stresan period. Budući srednjoškolci su na životnoj prekretnici, pa im je dobro došla svaka pomoć u odabiru pravog puta za sebe.

Vuk Glišović, maturant Užičke gimnazije jedan je od onih koji su budućim srednjoškolcima predstavili program rada Gimnazije, kao i školski život koji je veoma aktivan, sadržajan i raznovrstan:

– Profesori su uvek tu da nam pomognu i da usmere kako na pravi način da savladamo gradivo, tako vam jednostavno ovde sve bude zabavno. Naši profesori su majstori svoje struke i jednostavno ima šta da se nauči, nije samo škola da se prođe kroz nju samo sa dobrim ocenama, nego i da steknete dobro znanje.

Užička gimnazija postoji još od daleke 1839. godine i decenijama je među vodećim školskim institucijama. Otuda i ne čudi što je jedna od omiljenijih izbora sadašnjih osmaka.

Katarina Smiljanić, profesor filozofije Užičke gimnazije ističe da je ovo najboli način da se osmacima približi i dočara kako to izgledaju časovi u njihovoj školi:

– Posebno su im predstavljeni i izvorni predmeti, koje moraju od prve godine da izaberi, i to po dva, od onog paketa koji im ponudimo. Takođe i da se malo bolje upoznaju sa tim kako rade deca u računarskom odeljenju, kako se polaže prijemni, koji je inače 17. maja za računarosko odeljenje, a pripreme za ovo odeljenje počinju 14. marta.
